Mission

The organisation’s non-profit purpose is to encourage and develop in Belgium, in cooperation with the Belgian Charcot Foundation – the foundation of public interest which it created – the study and treatment of multiple sclerosis, by means of the various scientific-research disciplines available, in particular clinical research, biology, biochemistry, electrophysiology, immunology, virology, genetics, epidemiology and anatomopathology.

BELTRIMS (Belgian Treatment in Multiple Sclerosis) :

Le but de ce registre est de collecter des données, en situation réelle, sur la tolérance et l’efficacité des nouveaux médicaments, de détecter à court et long terme des effets secondaires inconnus ou sous-évalués et d’étudier les effets éventuels des médicaments concernés en cas de grossesse.

Het doel van het register is het verzamelen van real life data over de tolerantie en de werkzaamheid van de nieuwe behandelingen, om zo op korte en lange termijn nog niet ontdekte bijwerkingen in het licht te stellen en de eventuele effecten op zwangerschap te bestuderen.
